Over the years there has been a lot of debate, discussion and rumour mills when it comes to flying snub-nosed dogs from the UK to Australia. Let's try and set the record straight.
First things first it depends on what snub-nodes breed you have as this determines whether they can fly to Los Angeles with British Airways or Turkish Air from the UK.
Regarding British Airways Pugs of the Bulldog breed are not allowed. Other pets with a snub nose must travel in crates that are at least 10% bigger than typical.
On routes where the temperature does not exceed 75°F, snub-nosed dogs will be carried in bigger cages than are generally necessary. The Boston Terrier, Boxer, Brussels Griffon, Chow Chow, English Toy Spaniel, Japanese Chin, and Pekinese are all considered snub-nosed by British Airways.

The unfortunate part of the puzzle is there are currently no options for snub-nosed dogs with Qatar, Qantas, Emirates or Singapore Airlines.
Our friends in the UK had two Frenchies and they sent them with Turkish Air via Istanbul then onto to Los Angeles. The last leg was with Qantas LA to Melbourne.

Pets Abroad in the UK are extremely knowledgable. Contact Andre, they are a wonderful team and we have used them several times.
So from the UK at present these are your options. There is Skye Pets who fly snub nosed dogs in the cabin at a cost. It is a very expensive option, but available if you want to explore it.
Let's hope these breeds may be able to fly via Singapore again one day, but there is much to be done before this is an option.
